Hot Dog!

One of my favorite shows is "How it's made" on the Science Channel...

I just watched how hot dogs are made...and was HORRIFIED! Now, I won't lie...I love a nicely grilled hotdog with an icy cold beer...a little spicy mustard, a dab of ketchup, and some relish--mmm..delicious! I think the reason I could enjoy a hot dog so much is because I never really knew what went into it. Apparently, it starts with beef and pork "trimmings" which are ground up into a paste, followed by the addition of chicken puree, spices, corn syrup, and water. Well, now the mystery is gone and it will be a long time before I enjoy another frank. Ugh!
